VideoLogic Systems SonicFury

A brief introduction:

Over the past decade, we have seen the evolution of personal computers into all encompassing entertainment systems. From gaming to watching movies, PCs will not fail to keep most of us playfully employed for hours a day. So as an avid gamer and music lover, I cannot settle for anything less than high quality sound on my computer. It's just one of those things that I would never compromise.

It's common for "hardcore" gamers to boast that their gaming rig can pump 7000+ 3Dmark2000 score, or gets 3 digit FPS numbers in Quake3 time demos, but while these numbers may sound impressive, the real pleasure and experience in gaming lies in more than just smooth frame rates and high resolutions. What matters is that how engrossing and engaging the gaming experience is, and while that is highly dependent on visual quality, it is unattainable without the adequate audio quality. So it goes without saying that sound cards are a major part of any good setup. Although not nearly as fast evolving as CPUs and video cards, we have come to see considerable advancements from soundcards in the past 3-4 years. The most significant being all around 3D surround sound for games, which significantly enhance that "true 3 dimensional" feeling.
