The integrated nVIDIA TNT
video card
When you think of the name
Gameboard you immediatly start to think of DreamCast (you know the Game Console). And
since these two are parallel to eachother you have to assume that GameBoard is targeted at
a gamers audience. So what does a gamer need then ? A good and fast Videocard
ofcourse.
The Dreamcode has a lovely, high
quality picture integrated TNT onboard. This chip has all the needs for some serious
gaming succes. It has 16Mb SDRam connected to it and has the ability to do AGP rendering
in 32Bit color. The Dreamcode comes with the latest drivers (which can be automaticly
internet upgraded from the installer).
The TNT chip is cooled by a
generic cooling-fan, so even some overclocking is possible. Not much though, 105MHz core,
115MHz memory was about the best i could get out of it. This is about avarage compared to
any other TNT card. I'm not going to run all kinds of benchmarks since the card simply can
be compared to all other TNT cards based upon the Detonator drivers from nVIDIA.
Installation was very easy. Hit
install from the driver-cd, wait a few secs, restart your machine and voilla. Your TNT has
been served. Its as easy as it can be.
* keep in mind that other versions
of GameBoard will be available also with configurations like Voodoo3, TNT-2 , ATi Rage 128
and Savage4. Like it ? hell we love it.
