Recently I became pleasantly acquainted with someone from Mushroom Technology. At first I had no clue of who they are and what they have been producing until the name Skywell technology dropped by in a sentence. Perhaps some of you can remember Skywell's 'Magic' line up of products ? Unfortunately Skywell Technology is broke, Mushroom Technology however was producing some items from Skywell's product line-up. One of those items was a soundcard and that soundcard has been further developed and matured. So today we will take a look at Mushroom Technology's Siren Audio I. This soundcard is a low-budget soundscard. For about 55$ you can get some audio pleasure that can actually Decode Dolby Digital 5.1 and is compatible with the popular A3D 1.0 and Q-Sound. First things first, here are some product specs:

Specifications:
  • Supports Dolby digital sound (Stereo、Pro-Logic、4.1 CH.、5.1 CH.)
  • Uses YAMAHA WaveTable software synthesizer (with at least 128 notes) that can be instantaneously upgraded when required
  • Allows input via multiple connections: including microphones, external connections, CD/DVD-ROM input, and video input
  • Supports up to two sets of joysticks.
  • Supports all 5.1 channel speaker systems with Mini-Din G9 connectors, and has three independent three-dimension connectors to link up with the output connectors of any DIY multi-channel speaker systems
  • Uses Qsound V.2x game 3D sound positioning system, compatible with Aureal A3D V.1.0 And Sound Blaster's EAX V.1.0
