TV-Out
The Xentor 32 comes default with a TV-Out. The card has a S-VHS out
connector and in the package is a cable included that will convert
your S-VHS into composite if you do not have S-VHS. The TV-Out is
handled onboard with a Brookthree 8xx chipset. This option works very
well. You can choose any color system.

You can choose the proper color-scheme
by selecting your country. I live in the Netherlands and therefore
PAL-B will be selected while America uses NTSC.
The card will
output up to 800x600 in High Color which is excellent for DVD-Playback.
The TV Output quality is good. I did not notice any glitches.
DVD-Playback
The Xentor 32 can do hardware motion
compensation. This feature will reduce CPU utilization while playing
MPG/DVD (MPEG-2/MPEG-1) multimedia files. Xing DVD-X player is added
to the package to ensure optimal DVD pleasure.
While testing I found
that DVD playback was acceptable. It did not run the promised 30 FPS
but ran about 27-29 FPS. A guess a 400 MHz system still can't cut it 100%
for MPEG-2. However, I enjoyed watching the Alien Trilogy very much.
