Earlier in this review we told you
that the MX is a good performer but how does the PCI version hold up against the
AGP versions ? Well knowing you, you probably want to see some evidence of that.
Therefore we did some tests and took some benchmarks which are made with
3D Mark 2000,
3D Mark 2001 (of
course!)
Quake III Arena and
the new
Vulpine GLMark.
These benchmarks where made in 32 bit colors in resolutions from 800x600 up-to
the godfather of all resolutions, the 1600x1200 resolution.
Test System:
Gigabyte 7ZX-R v2.2 with 128 MB CAS PC 133 (Corsair
memory). This system is powered up by an AMD Thunderbird/Athlon
800 MHz CPU.
Both systems are running Windows 98 SE, DirectX 8.0a and reference detonator
drivers We will not use manufacturer drivers since driver different revisions
can influence the benchmarks.
