3D Prophet III Titanium
500
|
When we look closely at the board it's
basically the same design as the normal GeForce3 Ti500 reference model, small
modifications to the PCB have been made likely to ensure better performance. Of
course it is equipped at standard with ramsinks (did you know Hercules was the
first to use these on any graphics card ?) and the sturdy modified Blue Orb GPU
cooler.

The biggest difference between a GeForce3 and
GeForce3 Ti 500 is basically clockspeed and higher memory bandwidth. When
we do a small calculation we notice that the Ti 500 has a breathtaking
((2x128bit) x 250MHz) : 8bit = 8000 MB/sec memory bandwidth,
combine this with a faster clocked Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and you have
the fastest and versatile consumer videocard to date.
