Today we will be looking at the Hercules 3D Prophet II PRO. Yes indeed, yet another GeForce 2 based videocard has gone retail. nVidia is pushing very hard to have a product available for basically all budgets. The 3D Prophet II PRO is a videocard that simply isn't so extremely expensive as the Ultra GeForce2 videocards and is faster than the average GeForce2 GTS videocard. Equipped with 64MB 5ns memory modules this videocard is almost the fastest videocard available for the consumer market with a price tag below $350.

In the box you'll find one Hercules 3D Prophet II PRO, a S-VHS to composite cable (for TV/Big-screen connectivity), A well written and detailed manual, Driver CD, a full version of PowerDVD and finally a detailed manual for PowerDVD.  The Hercules 3D Prophet II PRO is equipped with a HDTV processor, a new standard that is introduced in the US. The HDTV processor can be connected to a HDTV decoder. Now we should be able to watch Full-screen HD television. Unfortunately in Europe this new standard is not introduced yet, so it will not play a big role on this side off the world. This decoder also handles any MPEG data streams and thus can playback DVD's realtime in really excellent quality.
