In General
The GA7ZX-R is a Socket-A Thunderbird Athlon/Duron based ATX mainboard with KT133 VIA chipset and integrated Promise RAID 0+1 controller. Package is bundled with a Driver CD, cables and manual.

Today we will be looking at a new mainboard from Gigabyte, it's the follow-up version of the the 7ZX that we reviewed a while ago. Competition is high, and we have all seen what the KT7-RAID from ABit can handle. Therefore Gigabyte released the 7ZX-R.

Basically the 7ZX-R is the 7ZX but now with integrated Promise PDC 20265 ATA100 w/ RAID chip. Combining the performance and stability of the 7ZX and with a good price the 7ZX-R can be a fine and interesting  mainboard for a lot of users.

The 7ZX-R's heart is based upon VIA's KT133.
