Essential the Game Theater XP is a PCI soundcard that is connected to an external rack that can be placed in the surroundings of the desktop PC. A connection between those two is established through a properly shielded cable with DB44 connectors. On that same cable a USB connector can be found to connect to the USB hub that is build in the external rack.

The Rack itself is a small dream and comes very close, if not better, to Creative's Live! Drive. Shall we do a round of connectivity ? Brace yourself. On the front of the rack we can connect 1/4" Headphone output jack with volume control, 1/4" Line-In 2/Mic-In toggle jack with microphone gain control, 1/4"to 3.5mm adapter provided. RCA Line-In jacks (left and right)and a Game port & 2 USB ports (1 and 2).
