The Technology from A to Z

Let's look at some specs, as said the CARDEXpert 32MB VIVO Golden Sample is based upon the GeForce2 MX 400 chipset. Not exactly the strongest GPU that I can recommend to a video editing graphics card but it worked quite all right. When we move away from the MX GPU we immediately take note of the memory .. it's fast .. Why ? It's rated 4ns and that is about the fastest memory I have seen on any GeForce2 MX. I just received a press release stating that the new revision is equipped with 3.5ns memory chips.

The software package isn't something to complain about. The card comes with a variety of software:

You probably figured this one out, a drivercd with twinview compatible drivers. Furthermore we'll find a utility disk with Adobe ActiveShare, ImageMore, E-Color 3Deep, Cyberlink trial versions of POwerDVD, Medi@show and VideoLive Mail and Intervideo WinDVD trial. On a third CD we find a full version of WinDVD and the last and most important CD, Ulead VideoStudio software to edit movies and sound in MPEG-2. This is the most important software to record avi/mpeg and, unfortionately, it was exactly where we ran into trouble. At default no video capture drivers are installed. If you are a geek like I am you'll have this figured out in no time. However the majority of users does not have a clue why after a driver installation they can't capture any video. You need to grab the additional shareware CD and figure out what drivers you need to install. Gainward needs to write a driver package that automatically installs these capture utilities, it's too complex for a lot of you.
