I hear you say, 'finally a review of the all new Radeon 9700 Pro'. Unfortunately ATi Europe has little samples available right now and therefore the samples are shared between journalists for short periods of time. That means I can't do an immense set of in-depth tests for this review as there simply is not enough time, you'll be happy with the outcome though ;)

In a couple of weeks ATi will send out a board for the 2nd time so we can post a full review, today you'll read kind of a preview. We do it all though, a small overview of the graphics core, a huge stack of benchmarks with different settings and of course we overclocked it.

In this preview we will not take an extensive in-depth look at the Graphics Core, no we'll focus on performance as that is what you guys want to know and that is exactly what this board was made for, believe me. Also, you been able to witness several reviews of this Graphics card where it produced breathtaking numbers. However, most tests and reviews out there used rigs based on 2.53 GHz Pentium 4 processors and basically all I've noticed where top of the line systems that even can't be bought in the stores yet. We will test the card on your average system, that means an Athlon XP 1800+ people. Furthermore we'll compare it to every known videocard of the past year and then will sum it up in a conclusion for you.

First let's do a small overview of what Radeon 9700 Pro is all about, the hype, the fuzz and and most definitely my buzz.
