Review - Adrenaline Rush from Jazz multimedia

Adrenaline Rush from Jazz multimedia

Prepare yourself for the best 2d+3d card money can buy at this time. The adrenaline card is a 6mb edo 40ns card wich is capable of displaying resolutions up to 1600x1200 65k Colors. And 1152x864 in 16 million colors.

The card is based upon a Voodoo Rush chipset. Disadvantage on this matter is that the rush chipset is slighty slower then the normal Voodoo Chipset used on the gross of adon cards like diamond monster etc. Also at this time the rush chipset is less supported by a lot of games. But thats not the fault of the card eh ?

Because its Rush chipset the card can render in a window (realtime) this is something the Voodoo Chipset can't do. The normal Voodoo Chipset needs to be in a full screen mode to do its job.

Furthermore with this card you can enjoy gaming up-to 800x600. The 2D section of the card is very fast.

What do you get in the box ?

A lot, besides a nice looking (blue) Adrenaline card you can find an installation guide, a jazzmm driver cd (drivers, utils, applications) & three games ( turok, mechwarrior II and interstate '76.

With a retail price of about $210 it is a very good buy.

We have tested the card ourselfes, it installs nicely & worked without a problem. However if you buy a 3D card for gaming only, then don't buy a Rush based card. The Voodoo Chipset is far better with gameplay & compatability. However if you want the combination of 2d+3d this is the best card that we've tested at this time (15-09-97)

Card rating 7/10
