The ACT-Labs gun system really is a joyful
product. Good
design, very simple to setup and good support for drivers. The only
negative point of this product is the fact that it is a very young
product and thus needs some good and serious support from game-developers.
ACT-Labs needs to make sure that indeed all announced and supported
titles will have that support before this product will
actually start selling. However with mods from Glitterstream this
product alone is enough to make you buy it!
The GS has the ability to add accessories and new features in the
future. The current version ships with two guns, a holster-style base
unit, and of course the handheld controller. Future upgrades may
include collector gun replicas and a force feedback version for the
real freaks like me.
I expect and seriously hope to
see the support for this product boosted up in the upcoming months.
Let's face it for 89.99$ you really can't go wrong here. Support
should be coming, it's a great product from a company with a great
reputation. We hope to review more of ACT-Labs products in the near
future. Overall I would have to rank this as one of the my most
fun game controllers I have ever played with.
