Do you guys have any idea how hard it is to review all that good stuff all the time ? A few days ago I received an e-mail from Guillemot/Hercules, "Hilbert, I have a Prophet III on my desk and do you want to review it?" My reaction: "Oh,man do I have to ?" I said: "Ok .. I guess I have a user or two who would be interested in that videocard". But will anyone buy it ?

Okay, of course I'm kidding ... I think my very mature reaction to Hercules was to be precise " Yeah baby, ship it!"

I must admit that I was very skeptical about the GeForce3 when I first red the specifications, until this feature I've been very quiet surrounding this topic since I did not want to engage a discussion based upon specs and specifications.

 I've been following and watching GeForce3 reviews & discussions for a while and somehow I was surprised to see many many people complain about the poor frame rate improvement compared to the GeForce2 Ultra. Is this all that count's for the majority of consumers ? What about new features and image quality ? Why does one need to invest 400-500 USD in a videocard that is slightly faster then a GeForce2 Ultra or Pro, Why buy a card that has all these new features that not one game that actually supports it ... The answer to these questions  actually can be found in a few lines back .. to invest .. This product is ready for the future, but is it wise to buy one now ? Should you buy a card with nifty news features that are hardly supported ? Is this product worth that kind of money ? Again, these questions are the thesis for my skepticism The funny thing however is, when I plugged the card into the system and ran my first tests I was able to conclude only one thing, "Oh  yeah .. this is what we've been waiting for".
