The Huawei's Ascend D1 Quad XL smartphone will start shipping in the Benelux in November for 499EUR. This new Android 4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich" based smartphone features the Huawei K3V2 quad-core 1.4GHz CPU, a 4.5" screen with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, a 2600mAh battery, Dolby Mobile 3.0 Plus with Audience earSmart sound processor, a 8MP digicam with 1080p Full HD video recording, a 1.3MP front camera, 8GB internal flash memory, and microSD memory card slot.

Logitech launches its Harmony Touch, a universal remote with a 2.4" touchscreen. This $250 model is limited to IR, it doesn't support RF like the somewhat older Harmony 900, which can already be found for less than the Harmony Touch's MSRP. The Logitech Harmony Touch is a new remote control that greatly simplifies the complex designs found in previous Harmony remotes. It's still a combination of physical buttons and a 2.4-inch color LCD touch screen, but the buttons are larger and fewer in number and the screen takes a more center position on the remote.

HTC finally released the One X+, a small update of the One X that was revealed in February. The new model comes with a 1.7GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, 64GB flash storage, Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean" with HTC's Sense 4+ interface, and a larger 2100mAh battery. The phone will arrive in Europe and North Asia in October, while South Asia will follow in November. The US availability date is still unknown. HTC,

Noctua releases the first three of its A-series "premium quality" quiet fans; the 40mm NF-A4x10, 60mm NF-A6x25 and 92mm NF-A9x14. The 40mm model is 10mm thick and delivers an airflow of 4.83CFM at a noise level of 17.9dBA. The 60mm edition is 25mm thick and delivers 17.2CFM at a noise level of 19.3dBA, while the 92mm variant is 14mm thick and pushes 29.7CFM at a noise level of 19.9dBA.

iiyama has unveiled another one of its upcoming Full HD monitor namely the ProLite E2473HS. Adopting iiyama’s ‘X-Res Tech’ super-resolution technology, this new 23.6-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 5ms response time (2ms neutral) and 170/160 degree viewing angles. In addition, it also comes with two built-in 2W stereo speakers and has DVI-D, D-Sub and HDMI connectors.

SEGA has released the debut gameplay trailer for Creative Assembly's upcoming Total War game, Total War: Rome II. The sequel promises to combine the most expansive turn-based campaign and the largest, most cinematic real-time battles yet seen in any game, and if this gameplay trailer is anything to go by, it will able to achieve something like that. Total War: Rome II is scheduled for a 2013 release, exclusively on the PC.

Toshiba has released the new MQ01ABD series hybrid hard drives, for notebooks though. Built in the 2.5-inch 9.5 mm-thick form-factor, the drives embed a dual-platter hard drive with 8 GB of SLC NAND flash memory, and 32 MB cache for the hard drive component. The hard drive component has a maximum spindle speed of 5,400 RPM. Available in 750 GB (MQ01ABD075H) and 1 TB (MQ01ABD100H) variants, the drives support SATA 6 Gb/s interface, and Advanced Format.

Dell has rolled out five new 2013 S Series monitors namely the 27-inch S2740L, the 24-inch S2440L, the 23-inch S2340L and the 21.5-inch S2240L and S2240M. The S2740L, S2340L, S2240L, S2240M are IPS models that provide a 7ms response time and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, while the S2440L is a VA model that offers a 5ms response time and a 5,000:1 contrast ratio. 

2K Games and Gearbox Software announced today the much anticipated Borderlands 2 is now available in North America and will be available internationally on September 21, 2012 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC. The four-player cooperative shooter-looter already has critics raving, with review scores of 9 out of 10 from IGN, 9.75 out of 10 from Game Informer and a perfect 10 out of 10 from PlayStation: The Official Magazine.
