AMD launches pretty cool Z-60 APU for Tablets

AMD announced its latest entry in the performance tablet and small form factor PC market with the AMD Z-60 Accelerated Processing Unit (APU). The AMD Z-60 is AMD's lowest power APU, delivering unprecedented performance and AMD All Day power for tablet form factors as thin as 10mm. ASUS Launches 4 GB GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II

We've seen more announcements on 4GB boards in the past week, ASUS now follows as well with their GeForce GTX670-DC2-4GD5. The cards is based upon their DirectCU II 2-slot design and now thus comes with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory. The memory bus obviously remains 256-bit with the memory itself clocked at a 6 GHz effective datarate (192 GB/s).

Windows 8 pre-launch adoption rate not looking good

Net Applications compared the pre-launch adoption rate of Windows 8 with Windows 7 and found that it's five times lower. The low adoption rate reflects the overall sentiment about Windows 8, as many power users feel Microsoft is going in the wrong direction with its latest operating system. At a month before the launch of Windows 7, it was receiving a warm reception and overall usage was sitting at a healthy 1.64% of all Windows installs.

Lian Li PC-7H launches mid-tower chassis

Lian Li introduces the PC-7H, a new line of aluminium mid-tower cases with ATX and micro-ATX motherboard support. The chassis come with three 5.25" drive bays and have space for four 3.5" HDDs and one 2.5" HDD/SSD. There's the usual tool-free installation, and the top features an I/O panel with two USB 3.0 ports and HD audio. Cooling is provided by two 140mm front fans and one 120mm rear fan. The PC-7H ships in three variants; black, black with black interior, and silver. The MSRP is $119.

Google Could Launch a $99 Nexus 7 by the End of 2012

Google launched their affordable tablet the Nexus 7 in June and it immediately caught everyone’s attention because of its attractive price and good hardware. With Tegra 3 chip, an HD IPS display and a price tag of $199, its a must buy but Google might not stop just there. According to DigiTimes, Google and ASUS are working on two new slimmer Nexus 7 tablets with TN panels and they are set to launch it by the end of 2012 but the most amazing part of the report is the price of these tablets.

GTA5 March 2013 launch likely delayed

Rockstar Games' upcoming Grand Theft Auto V (GTA5) is one of the most anticipated game titles. Set in a fictionalized version of Los Angeles named "Los Santos", the upcoming GTA promises to deliver one of the largest open world games ever. The official release window is projected for March 2013, but in a note sent to investors, Robert W. Baird analyst Colin Sebastian warns that it seems increasingly unlikely that GTA5 will arrive on time.

Focus Home Interactive has released the launch trailer for R.A.W. - Realms Of Ancient War. R.A.W. - Realms Of Ancient War promises to be a true and pure Hack'n'Slash that offers intense and challenging combat all while displaying an impressive number of enemies onscreen. HTC launches new 8X and 8S Windows Phone 8 handsets

Microsoft is busy with the launch of their Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 platforms sheduled in for late  October, smartphone manufacturers on their end  have been busy showing off their new handsets running the latest incarnation of the smartphone OS. Today the turn goes to HTC with their Windows Phone 8 family: The HTC 8X and 8S. HTC has decided to share the 8X and 8S with the world. Both devices utilise the same naming mechanism as the HTC One series of Android phones, with the X and the S denoting the class of the device.
