Western Digital 4 and 8 TB My Book Duo

Western Digital (WD) has released two new models of their My Book and My Book Duo external hard drives. The Thunderbolt devices are now available in an 8 TB model which uses a pair of 4 TB drives in an internal RAID 0 configuration. The device has two Thunderbolt I/O connectors that allow you to daisy-chains with other My Book Duo units, or other devices. Now the scary part, the  8 TB variant is priced at $849.99. WD also introduced a 4 TB variant of its My Book USB 3.0 hard drive. The My Book encloses a single 4 TB hard drive priced at US $250.

Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital SE Multi-Monitor Adapter Announced

Matrox Graphics announced its Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital SE external multi-monitor adapter, which expands your system's single-video output into an immersive triple-monitor setup so that you see and do more. This new Graphics eXpansion Module (GXM) connects to a compatible system's DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort video output or Thunderbolt port and lets you add three external DVI monitors, each with maximum resolutions of either 1920 x 1080 @50Hz (PC) or 1360 x 768 @60Hz (Mac).

Sharkoon X-Tatic Pro 5.1 Dolby Digital Headset

Sharkoon launched their  X-Tatic Pro which is a new high-end gaming headset with 5.1 Dolby Digital support. The headset has a total of eight speakers, each cup has a 27mm center speaker, a 30mm front speaker, a 30mm rear speaker plus a 40mm subwoofer. Channel volume, master volume and chat volume can be regulated with the integrated controller, which also offers a microphone mute button and a MVM selector switch (to hear your voice within chat and better control your own speech volume).
