AMD FX 9590 'Centurion' Benchmarks surface
Heck yeah, somebody has gotten their hand on a AMD FX 9590, the 5 GHz CPU processor called AMD FX-9590 comes with 8-cores and is clocked at 5 GHz. A VR-Zone forum user called “MacClipper” got his hands on a retail sample of the AMD FX-9590 and wriote up a quick preview of the 5 GHz processor from AMD. The FX-9590 is based off the same 32nm HKG process used on Piledriver and Bulldozer, so this is the same stuff as the FX processors, yet clocked faster and eating away a lot of power.Read more
AMD to Bridge Both x86 and ARM Processors for the Data Center

Review: AMD FX 8350 processor
In this article we test and review the new AMD FX 8350 processor. AMD unleashes PileDriver cores on the new Vishera a codenamed architecture. The CPU tested today has eight physical CPU cores, it will have a base clock of 4000 MHz, and can Turbo towards 4200 MHz. And that makes the FX series a multi-threaded high frequency monster.

AMD lowers prices FM1-based APUs
AMD will lower prices of its previous-generation Socket FM1 APUs. DigiTimes heard the following prices are now in effect, as part of AMD's plan to raise product demand and boost its marketshare. After announcing its latest FM2-based A series APUs (Trinity) on October 1 AMD is set to reduce prices of its previous-generation APUs.Read more
AMD to cut thousands of jobs
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) will very likely cut 2340 jobs which is about about 20 percent of the workforce. Yesterday we already informed you their prognosis Q3 revenue report which was very worrisome. AMD suffers a lot from the dropping demand in PC market and expects that sales will drop with another 10% in the upcoming Q3. We expected loss of jobs, but not this many.Read more
AMD Preliminary Third Quarter Results released - worrying
AMD today announced their Third Quarter Results, revenue for the third quarter ended September 29, 2012 and is expected to decrease approximately 10 percent compared to Q2. The company previously forecasted third quarter 2012 revenue to decrease 1 percent, plus or minus 3 percent, sequentially.Read more
