Users report Intel SSD 320 firmware fix is ineffective

Users of Intel's SSD 320 series reported the recently released firmware fix did not effectively address the 8MB bug, and in some cases made the drives even more unreliable.
After installing the firmware update users reported back to Intel Support Community claiming that the new firmware did not effectively address the 8 MB bug, and has in some cases, made the drives even more unreliable. The users note that a SSD self-test cycle by the drive is causing Windows to crash with a bluescreen (BSOD).
Intel thus far has yet to respond to these posts. Just follow the thread.
