Scythe Chouriki 2 power supplies

Posted by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 07/21/2010 09:24 AM | 0 comment(s) ]

Jumping the PSU bandwagon Scythe announced the Chouriki 2 and Chouriki 2 Plug-in power supplies:
The Japanese cooling specialist Scythe starts officially the sales of the new Chouriki 2 Power Supply Series. These power supplies are characterized by their high efficiency of up to 90% and comply to the 80Plus Silver certification. Chouriki 2 series is available with 650, 750, 850 and 1,000 watts. The customers have also the choice between a plug-in version with cable management for more comfort and a standard version with soldered cable strands.

As usual for Scythe, all components meet Japanese standards and are designed for long life. This is supported by a variety of build-in protection circuits (OCP: Overcurrent Protection, OVP: Overvoltage Protection, OPP: Overpower (Overload) Protection, SCP: Short Circuit Protection, UVP: Undervoltage Protection, OTP: Overtemperature Protection). Scythe also grants a five-year warranty on all Chouriki 2 PSUs. The attractive brushed steel surface makes a fine impression which makes this PSU to be visually attractive and blend into your PC case without any disturbance.

For cooling, a controlled 135 mm fan from the proven Scythe Kama Flex series is used. The high-quality S-FDB (Sony Fluid Dynamic Bearing) bearing can guarantee for a long life time of up to 120,000 hours MTBF, as well as very low noise. An integrated fan control ensures that the fan speed is adjusted individually according to the load and the temperature of the power supply. At the back of the power supply, a special honeycomb structure ensures the optimum air flow.

The Scythe Chouriki power supply series is now available in stores at the suggested retail prices below.
