Interesting that a 580GTX is right up there with the 670GTX and not far behind the 680GTX.

Yes they throw out more heat than the newer cards but mine is under water so not bothered, i think BF4 will be the next time i upgrade.

True, plus my 580's have the custom triple cooler vga fans, temps are kept below 80 degrees at full load regardless. :D

I will soon purchase Hitman Absolution, should run great on my rig, I hope that is!

I did the benchmark in the game and i'm getting:

min fps: 22
average fps: 29
max fps: 91

Im having a GTX 670 oc @ +120core/+600memory and an i5 3750K @ 4.4Ghz....
With stock graphic card i'm getting 6-7 fps less.

Is this normal??? I'm having really low fps at times in the game.

By the way i'm using the latest beta drivers from few days ago...res 1920x1080

Hilbert, i'd advise featuring some kind of Ultra preset benchmarking, even if the average frames would be 30fps with a 680 or the like it's the Ultra preset we're interested in after all.
As it is i dunno if my card could manage a decent framerate with my usual Ultra setting without AA nor blur effects.
I imagine that if Ultra was tested with this game the nvidia cards would have looked even worse than they do currently, if this game is a stubborn hog on nvidia cards folks gotta know.

So what's the deal, is this game really unoptimized or is the horrible performance on a GTX 680 justified somehow?

It seems like turning the msaa off gained for me a lot of fps (60+) and everything else on ultra.
Now is playable, i'll try with msaa turned on 2x or 4x.

The first tutorial level then into the main game, settings maxed but no blur, dof, GI, nor AA used, this is what it took to hold 60fps.
I got the game running really nice, i'll maybe look into tweaking the bloom laters.

How do you disable blur, i really hate it in every game?

My bad, the game doesn't use motion blur, however global illumination + Depth of field are classed as blur effects, if you're like me and suffer eye strain with certain in-game effects then i'd advise disabling these two options, i go all the way and disable all AA effects too.

On Ultra/2x MSAA I get 43 fps

On High/2x MSAA:46 fps

Ultra/MSAA off: 50 fps

I7 2600k stock
GTX 460 SLI

IMO: 460 SLI behaves as 580
