Nvidia-Microsoft Pact might be 11 Years old

The weirdest announcement was posted yesterday, Microsoft is taking an interest in NVIDIA as they purchased 30% of their shares. Then later on it appears that this agreement is already ten years old, dating from 2001.
Either way this might prevent future buyouts if a company would takeover NVIDIA OR if NVIDIA would like to takeover another company.
Nvidia gives the Redmond-based company the exclusive right to equal any offers by third-parties for 30 percent or more of Nvidia
