MSI is launching the X79A-GD45 PLUS motherboard, which seems to be a more cost effective X79 motherboard sitting in the 200 USD price range. Armed with a 9-phase DrMOS VRM the hardware should definitely deliver though. Not four yet eight DDR3 DIMM slots have been integrated that will support DDR3-2400 MHz memory with in total a nice 128GB of it. Slot connectivity wise you will get three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots (the grey ones). Then there will be two PCI-Express x16 slots (black) which actually are 2.0 x4 slots that connect to the X79 PCH.

In terms of HDD/SDD storage you will get two SATA 6 Gb/s and three SATA 3 Gb/s ports. A total of four USB 3.0 portscan be spotted as well as 8-channel HD audio with optical and coaxial SPDIF outputs. Obviously there the rest being a bit more standard, gigabit Ethernet, PS/2 mouse/keyboard. Have a peek at some photo's.
