After the corrupted drive mayhem from last month, taking down the updated firmware Intel released the 2CV102HD firmware update for their 34 nm X25-M G2 solid state drives. Let's hope this Firmware update is free of any critical bugs.
The new firmware update works for both the X25-M and X18-M SSDs. The firmware adds TRIM capability to the SSDs, which works to minimize data fragmentation at the hardware-level on systems with Windows 7. The 2CV102HD firmware update can be found here.
