Intel resumes 6-series shipments for PCs not impacted by the design issue

Intel provides on update on the problems with its 6-series chipsets. The main news is that the company will resume shipments of 6 series chipsets for use only in PC system configuration that are not impacted by the design issue. In addition, Intel also reveals that new, updated 6-series chipsets are in production.

They are expected to start shipping by mid-February.

On January 31, 2011, Intel disclosed a design issue with a support chip, the Intel
