Fractal Design R4 Black Pearl Gets Tested and a review

Posted by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 03/07/2013 08:47 AM | 3 comment(s) ]

Today we review the Fractal Design R4 Black Pearl, an all black, silent and stylish mid-tower chassis. This ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX ready tower chassis can house a quite a bit of storage, has plenty of space to work in and is stylish in all its ways.

The Define R4 features a front interface with USB 3.0 and an integrated three-speed fan controller behind the front panel door.

Thank you for the absolutely random Eiffel 65 reference. Read the rest of the review with that playing haha,

Amazing looking case too.

I like personally the option to place two SSDs behind the mobo plate. That allows you to have three HDDs in the lower HD cage while removing the upper cage for better airflow. I used to have R3 before this, and the improvements are clear, although objectively speaking this isn't any exceptional case all in all, but it has a few nice features, like the review said, and the price is very decent.
