Ealier on there was already a rumor that FoxConn will be leaving the retail market and focus solely on OEM manufacturing. Another new fact however just became apparant. DigiTimes reports the Foxconn Group plans to relocate part of its production facilities in China back to Taiwan later this year:
While endorsing the government's efforts to create more job opportunities in an attempt to rein in rising unemployment rates in Taiwan, Gou also urged the government to cultivate a more favorable business environment so that more local enterprises are willing to build their bases in the home market.
Foxconn chairman Terry Gou also said he believes the global economy won't fully recover until 2012.
