Three days ago we released a Far Cry 3 performance article. This article has now been updated towards 24 tested graphics cards. The AMD Radeon cards have been tested with the new 12.11 Beta 11 driver released today. We also threw in a handful of multi-GPU cards like the Radeon HD 6990 and GeForce GTX 690. We also noticed that a lot of people where wondering what kind of effect processors have on this game, so we added a page on that as well we'll test the game with a handful of popular processors.

Why you not test GTX 580.
Wow, 590 55fps at 1200p. Wasnt that card priced like the 690 on release.

I have yet to play this game. But at least I know what to expect when I get around to it. Hopefully by then the drivers and the performance will be better.

Yeah it won't bring you more perf alright, only with like 8xMSAA you'll see some benefits, but who realistically is running 8xMSAA with this game engine ?

Why you not test GTX 580.
I agree the 580 is a classic and very popular, just wanna say thnks again for the vram usage and the cpu scaling parts, and of course testing the game at full ultra, absolutely the best job ever, HH.

Crossfire performance is terrible, stutter fest. Runs smooth on 1 GPU.

Nice performance review but its missing one element.
Was a 3.7GHz 2600K (equiv) enough or were there times it limited the framerate?
