Download Media Player Classic Home Cinema v1.6.5 This great open Source Media Player allows you to enhance, decode and accelerate a broad span of movie formats like x.264 with GPU assisted acceleration and image quality enhancing. Modern graphics card offer the possibility to decode partially or completely a video stream using DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA), in order to reduce CPU usage dramatically. MPC-HC includes an embedded video decoder that uses this technology, to decode x.264, H.264 and VC-1 with hardly any CPU time required.
This project is based on the original "Media Player Classic" and was created after Gabest, the original author, stopped. The download has both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions in the 7ZIP self extractable archive.

I prefer the MT version of AviSynth 2.60 as it speeds things up since it's the core of the whole SVP operations.

well, different question...
why do i need my gpu clocked at 800mhz, etc, to watch my movies, when 400mhz and lower ram, do the same, just cooler and withing 50% gpu usage.(tested with 1080p - 50mb/s bitrate Avatar Blueray..)
If i do not underclock the GPU usage is around 30%.
the gpu is cooler and uses less power???
dunno if my logic is right, duh...
But it worked fine so far..
well good point. if the electric bill is important it would require even more tweaking. perhaps you just need to increase your downclock just a bit. well i dunno.

erm, i didnt complain.
But i rather use less power then pay a bigger bill...
I just compared it to my "standart" setup...
means same gpu clocks etc..so i see how different it is..
But even with standart clocks and only 70% usage i have dropped frames, so this must be something else..
maybe i have to raise teh buffer a bit or something else..
ill see, when i take a closer look at it, and not just a quick test wich i just did..
