NVIDIA just released a GeForce 310.61 Beta 32/64-bit driver for you to download. The new GeForce 310.61 beta drivers are now available to download. Otherwise identical to last week's 310.54 beta driver, 310.61 beta improves compatibility in Hitman: Absolution and Planetside 2, and supports a new Black Ops II SLI profile that's available through NVIDIA update.

Note: We're releasing the 310.61 beta drivers ahead of schedule so gamers can play Hitman: Absolution without delay.
In last month’s GeForce 310.33 beta driver we improved performance by up to 15% in nine games, and this month we’re improving performance by up to 26% in twenty games. Leading the charge in the 310.54 beta driver is a 26% boost for the upcoming and eagerly-anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops II, which hits stores tomorrow, followed by an 18% boost for The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, a 17.8% boost for Assassin’s Creed III, which arrives in stores November 20th, and a 12.9% boost for Battlefield 3.
Below, we detail the complete range of optimizations packed into the 310.54 beta drivers using the GeForce GTX 680 and GTX 660; at home you should expect to see performance improvements on any system utilizing a GeForce GTX 400, 500, or 600 series GPU, though obviously to varying degrees.

Installing drivers in Windows 8 works the same for me as Windows 7...
You sure didn't have that blink of death bug because it makes your PC into a useless piece of ****.

Hi AndyB, this is now the third Beta driver that crashes BF3 every 10-20mins for me + idle clocks are 405 instead of 135. Are you ever going to release a optimized driver for your mobile kepler GPUs (such as the 680M)?

This driver is a small iteration on 310.54. Quad 690 and BF3 fixes should hopefully appear in the UDA, but I do not have an ETA for that at this time.

Idle clocks are fine but the boost clock dropped from 1249 to 1241 for me. BF3 didn't crash but the FPS was a lot lower than 306.23 driver. I already rolled back.
Can someone PLEASE check if your idle clocks are higher than usual on a gtx 670/680?

1Hr playtime of BF3 campaign & multiplayer (caspian 64/64) no crashes so far. I'll post asap if the game crashes.

how does AC 3 run BTW? OT I know, but I'm interested to see if it's better than Future Soldier, which took ages to work properly.

AndyB, what sort of crashes have Nvidia identified/fixed with BF3 as for me BF3 on Win8 is very unstable, 1min I can play for over an hour with no problems and the next it will barely make 2mins before I get a hard reset?
