Download AMD Catalyst 12.11 Beta 7

AMD just updated their Catalyst 12.11 towards Beta 7. No description or changes have been announced but we assume this driver is optimized for Black Ops II and the upcoming Hitman and Asassins Creed release. Still no WHQL though. The 12.11 Beta driver overall opposed to the previous driver releases the team has been able to boost overall game performance throughout the 7000 series with 5% and up-to 20%, so that's quite significant.

• 10%-15% more performance in Battlefield 3 in most cases
• More than 20% in certain missions and sequences (Comrades)
• Up to 7% more performance in Metro 2033
• Up to 10% more performance in DIRT Showdown
• Up to 8% more performance in Sleeping Dogs
• Up to 12% more performance in Civilization V
• Up to 10% more performance in StarCraft II
• Up to 8% more performance in Sniper Elite: V2

Battlefield 1942 is now free to download through Origin - 11/06/2012 07:57 AM
EA has announced that Battlefield 3 Premium surpassed 2 million sales, along with the more interesting news that Battlefield 1942 is now free through its Origin service. Taking place during the events of World War II, this digital version includes online multiplayer with and against others who have downloaded the game. Unfortunately, existing expansion packs are not included and compatibility with older mods is not guaranteed.
