Most people would probably say the UI is something everybody else had done, but that's just what RIM needs with its new OS : familiarity.
Unlike Microsoft, RIM doesn't really have enough slack to try anything deviating from the norm with the UI.
Giving people with something unfamiliar isn't worth the gamble for now.

As long as the experience is slick (like integration with Exchange servers, not just BES), I don't think OS 10 (because using 'OSX' is a definitive nuclear fission land mine) will be as bad as most people would think.
If RIM can get that sorted, then the next step would be something of an image change from being seen as a corporate exclusive brand.
Just stop using the ad agency (or fire the marketing team) they've used before which tried to make it hip by including goofy characters.

That UI is a weird and confusing mix of Nokia's MeeGo, Symbian and iPhone.

Thats the 1st impression i got as well. Actually i think you can make iOS do some of these features the same way through jailbraking but the rest looks like its been taken from MeeGo

Looks very nice and new. Everyone is bored from iOS its been the same for the psat 5-6 years and will eventually take Apple down to the grave unless they come up with something new and refreshing..

I think BB stock will go up again and it will gain a lil momentum back. I like the FLOW, the Peak and the Work / Personal different accounts on BB 10 very slick. Also BBM 7 looks great
