Battlefield 1942 is now free to download through Origin - 11/06/2012 07:57 AM
EA has announced that Battlefield 3 Premium surpassed 2 million sales, along with the more interesting news that Battlefield 1942 is now free through its Origin service. Taking place during the events of World War II, this digital version includes online multiplayer with and against others who have downloaded the game. Unfortunately, existing expansion packs are not included and compatibility with older mods is not guaranteed.

Battlefield 3: Aftermath is out first for PS3 Battlefield Premium subscribers on November 27. PC and Xbox 360 Premium members get it a week later, while everyone else gets it December 11.
