Asus uBoom and uBoom Q soundbar speakers

Posted by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 08/24/2009 09:09 AM | 0 comment(s) ]

Asus has released its uBoom and uBoom Q soundbar speakers that are aimed at folks who want to enjoy high fidelity audio and bass through a maze-like reflex port, where it will be channeled through speakers specially designed to be positioned within the audio sweet-spot of most rooms. Both models also come with USB 2.0 connectivity for audio output, adding to their convenience and mobility. The design is smart enough to let you "dock" your notebook, where its 2.1 notebook speaker is able to pump out 24W of audio power, while the uBoom Q is much more miserable at 2.4W power. There is no word on pricing or availability.
