MSI has reportedly been working on the so-called X58A-GD65, whoch would be a more affordable X58 moptherboard, yet with USB 3.0 and SATA 6G.
The board comes with 'just' three PCI Express slots, has support 3-way SLI and CrossFire X setups. Budghet or noy , it didn't shy away from including six DDR3-2133 memory slots, six SATA 3.0 Gbps connectors, two USB 3.0 ports and two SATA 6.0 Gbps connectors.
Other specifications include Gigabit Ethernet, FireWire, 7.1 channel audio, coaxial SPDIF connectors and dual eSATA.
As for the chipset, it is the Intel X58 and, thus, will support socket LGA 1366 central processing units, not just the quad-core but also the hexa-core models. The motherboard also boasts an 8-phase VRM and 4+6 USB 2.0 ports.
