Futuremake is set to release their all new 3DMark for Windows on Monday February 4, at 18:00 UTC to be precise. Apparently there are some issues with the Android, iOS and Windows RT builds which will be released likely weeks later. 3DMark uses a combination of in-app features and online web services to help users better understand their hardware. In these screenshots from the Windows version you can see the new performance graphs that accompany each test score.
For components that support it, 3DMark records FPS, GPU and CPU temperatures as well as CPU power and clock speed during the benchmark run. The graphs are interactive too. You can zoom in, change the scale and pan the chart to focus on a specific part of the benchmark run. You can click on the lines to get the numbers for that point in time, a useful way for overclockers to check peak temperatures during the benchmark run, for example.

I was wondering when they were going to release the next one.
Confession: I've never really used 3DMark for benchmarking all that much. I just like looking at shiny things and pretty colors. They've been a good indication (at least to me) to what games could look like 5+ years in the future.
Hopefully it'll be <$40 as SLI-756 said. If not, there's always the spring sale.

Anyway, kinda wonder whether they can actually leverage all SOCs on mobiles.
Most 3D games (in Android) are either Mali-oriented or Tegra; rarely both.
