Computex - Galaxy Customizes everything with a GPU on it
By Hilbert Hagedoorn, June 2, 2010 - 8:18 PM N/A

Earlier today we've already shown you that Galaxy is working on a dual-GTX 470 Fermi (single PCB) based graphics card. That prototype definitely looks interesting, however, Galaxy has brought along some very impressive gear and is working on all kinds of new innovations to bring their products at the very least customized to a next level. Let's walk through some of the extraordinary gear they have on display shall we ?

BTW, you can click on all photo's to see a high-resolution photo.

So in the photo below you can see a Galaxy GeForce GTX 470 card, if you look a little closer though, you'll notice that it has two GPUs, the smaller one is in fact a simple GeForce GT 240 GPU and it's there for PhysX. Cards like these are not new, eVGA has shown a similar product in the GTX 200 series last year called Co-Op. Whether or not this product will make it to market, we doubt a little bit but it surely shows something new and different.

The following photo is showing a fully customized GeForce GTX 480. Custom PCB, custom cooling. The cooler has a vapor chamber in order to keep the temperatures at much better levels compared to NVIDIA's reference cooler, have a peek. Admittedly, that is one good looking card.

The next photo (below) shows something new and refreshing as well. It seems like that all mid-range and faster graphics cards these days are based on a dual-slot design, hogging much space. Below you can see the Galaxy GTX 470 Razor. This in fact is a single slot design. Considering that the GTX 470 is a card that runs very hot, we are a little skeptical about it's performance and noise levels. But never judge a book by it's cover they say.

The two photo's below are all about monitoring your graphics card. To the left you can see Galaxy's "Magic Box HD" which will display essential registers and values coming from your graphics cards like temperatures and fan RPM.

To your right you can see an iPhone with a new Galaxy applications. Their Xtreme Tuner software will come with a new application. With the help of your phone you can now access data like retrieved from your graphics card like temperatures, driver revision, BIOS revision. It does go one notch further, as you can overclock directly from your iPhone as well.
