Lots of monitor news today, ViewSonic have announced their new 24" sized VG2438Sm display, with "SuperClear" IPS panel and fairly rare 16:10 aspect ratio. The screen offers a 1920 x 1200 resolution which is preferred by many of you guys over the common 1920 x 1080 panels in the market.

It also offers a 5ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, W-LED backlight and sRGB gamut. D-sub, DVI and DispalyPort connections are offered along with a 4 port USB 3.0 hub and 2x 2W stereo speakers.

The VG2438SM also has integrated features that ease comfort and reduce eye fatigue, such as Flicker-Free Technology and a Blue Light Filter. Flicker-Free Technology eliminates screen flickering to a minimum at all brightness levels, helping to reduce eye strain that comes from long periods of viewing. ViewSonic’s proprietary Blue Light Filter allows users to dim the blue light levels to reduce potential eye strain. The fully ergonomic stand design allows a more comfortable working environment, through full adjustability of the display, including height adjustment, tilt, swivel and pivot, which maximizes productivity and enhances user comfort.

ViewSonic introduces two other models alongside the VG2438SM, the VG2435SM and VG2235M. The VG2435SM is a 24” monitor featuring 1920x1200 resolution, SuperClear panel, VGA and DVI inputs, as well as full ergonomics and speakers. The VG2235M is a 22” monitor with 1680 x 1050 resolution, TN panel, VGA and DVI inputs, full ergonomics and speakers.
