Seagate announced the launch of its new BarraCuda SSD designed to take data to the next level of speed, dependability and versatility with its unique flash-speed performance and SATA 6GB/s interface. 



With this launch, Seagate continues to build on the evolution of its storage capabilities, now offering a full range of HDD, hybrid and SSD solutions for the everyday computer user to avid PC system architects and professionals.

BTW the units are based on TLC and are rated at sequential read 560 MB/sec, write 540 MB / sec (530 MB/sec for 250 GB, 535 MB/sec for 500 GB), random read 90,000 IOPS, write 90,000 IOPS. The write durability is 1:2 as in 120 TBW to 1,067 TBW, MTBF is 1.8 million hours, and they give a 5-year warranty.
