In the aftermath of yesterdays Threadripper news, you'd almost forget that AMD also announced its budget Ryzen 3 series processors. Quad-core procs now become entry level folks! One thing has been missing, the prices. Over ar reddit a user has obtained the pricing info and for Ryzen 3 1300X it is $129 USD and for the 1200 that would be $109 USD.

The reddit post however is unconfirmed, so I have nothing to add to that if we talk validity, but the prices sound spot on. Ryzen 3 1200 and 1300X are both quad core chips which will make them very impressive budget procs.

The 1200 features a 3.1 GHz base clock with 4 cores and 4 threads, with a max turbo clock at 3.4 GHz. It is configured in a 2mb/8mb L2/L3 cache. The TDP 65W.

The faster 1300X is once again 4 cores and 4 threads and gets a 3.5 GHz base clock, with a turbo of 3.7 GHz with similar caches and TDP. These procs could offer excellent entry level and the 1300x even mainstream gaming performance.  Then again, both SKUs are unlocked to at $109 USD the 1200 seems mighty appealing for a budget PC. AMD will be releasing the Ryzen 3 1200 and 1300X on the 27th of July 2017.
