Though we have still to launch the review for Vega graphics cards later today, new rumors of the successor chip are already surfacing. it seems that the Navi series will get a bit of hardware acceleration for AI, artificial intelligence.

Sources that cannot be names but that would be reliable stated that to Fudzilla. Details miss out completely, however Navi would be a 7nm based series GPU with (according to road-maps) a release next year. Now that would seem too be to early for 7nm. So we'll see. Nvidia already did something similar with their Tensor cores. Vega much like any modern GPU also can run AI algorithms, but should be compared to the NV Pascal generation rather than NV Volta.

Ah well, let's deal with Vega first shall we :)
