At least that info reaches us through Digitimes. Intel would plan an introduction at CES with that processir series called Kaby. During that same time-frame the same time AMD would reveal processors based on its new Zen architecture.

The site speaks of a slight delay, analysts initially expected introductions of these processors  late in 2016. Officially though AMD and Intel have not really shared a anctual launch date.

AMD late last year already kinda announced that the first Zen processors would appear no earlier than the end of 2016, but nothing was final of course. For Intel some roadmaps with the first Core Y and U-processors for laptops based on the Kaby Lake generation would be released midway through the third quarter of 2016 followed by desktop products later in 2016.

Zen will be a significant step forward for AMD in regard to its processors with much better ipc performance. Kaby Lake is expected to be a modest update for Intel processors. That generation is the third step in Intel's "process-architecture-optimization' strategy. The chips are similar to Broadwell and Skylake produced on 14nm, but do contain some optimizations.
