Miami based simulator hardware manufacturer Ricmotech is poised to release their new range of high-end GTpro racing pedals. Aimed squarely at the hardcore simulator crowd, the new pedal setups fall under their 'RealGear' range; actual motorsport equipment which has been adapted for sim-racing.

The GTpro pedals will be available in 2 pedal and 3 pedal setups, either floor mounted or suspended. An optional suspended pedal stand will be available for $99 while the 2 pedal setups are available for pre-order at $649, the 3 pedal setups for $849.

The accelerator pedal gives input via a hall-effect magnetic sensor with the brake and clutch pedals using actual master cylinders, the brake working hydraulically and the clutch pneumatically (with the aid of a helper spring).

All this is controlled by an ECU fitted with a 16mhz micro-controller ensuring pedal movements are registered 15,000 times a second and reported 1,000 a second to the connected PC. There is also a port for an optional handbrake.

Though there is no set date for release, the following recently appeared on the company's Facebook page:

"Here is a pic of the first production unit of our GTpro pedals mounted on the optional stand. No time to waste, best get started on building the next one."
