The unfortunate news already broke over the weekend, Quantum Break Will Be Exclusive To Windows Store only. Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg has commented on the recently announced DirectX 12 only Quantum Break for PC.

According to Aaron Greenberg, Microsoft hadn't planned to release the game on PC alongside the Xbox One but their plans changed shortly afterwards. They didn't realize that it was possible to bring the game to PC in such a short amount of time. He also confirmedthat Quantum Break will be released exclusively on the Windows 10 Store and denied a Steam release for PC. FYI, the Windows Store version of Rise of the Tomb Raider doesn't feature exclusive full screen support for SLI and Crossfire-based setups, and PC gamers aren't able to use third-party overlay programs like FRAPS or MSI Afterburner.

Quantum Break is set at and around Riverport University, a fictional university set in the Northeastern United States, where a time travel experiment has gone wrong. The event not only causes time to start breaking down, but also grants the two main characters—Jack Joyce and Paul Serene—different time-based abilities. For example, Serene, the main antagonist, can see into the future to decide which choices to make in the present; while Joyce, one of the two protagonists, can stop time. Joyce and Wilder are pursued by Monarch Solutions, a corporation founded by Serene.

Quantum Break is currently set for a release on PC and Xbox One on April 5th, 2016. It is being developed by Remedy Interactive and published by Microsoft Game Studios.
