About three weeks after its release for the PC, Nvidia announced the availability of the Quadro FX 4800 for the Mac Pro. Its specifications are:

- GPU Memory Specs: 1.5 GB total memory size, 384-bit memory interface, 76.8 GB/sec memory bandwidth
- Display Support: 2 stereo dual-link DVI slots
- Maximum Power Consumption: 150W
