Philips is set to releas ehter ... and grab something .. the 272P4APJKHB. Yeah, easy to remember lol. This 27" screen will come with a Wide Gamut AU Optronics AHVA Panel. The panel offers a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 5ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m2 brightness and 178/178 viewing angles.

The RG-LED backlight offers coverage of 99% Adobe RGB and 100% sRGB spaces. The backlight dimming is certified as flicker free which is good news. The screen has an 8-bit+FRC (10-bit support) panel and a 12-bit internal processing. The display also comes factory calibrated including sRGB and Adobe RGB modes. The screen has a human motion sensor, built in 2.0 megapixel webcam and microphone. PiP (Picture in Picture) and PbP (Picture by Picture) modes are also included. One of the ‘SmartImage’ presets of particular interest is the ‘SmartUniformity’ mode which uses factory-calibrated digital uniformity compensation to ensure 95% display uniformity. In other words – all measured points lie within 5% brightness of the brightest point.

There are DL-DVI, DisplayPort, HDMI and 3x USB connections provided, along with audio input and a headphone jack. There are also 2x 2W stereo speakers included. The stand offers tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.

The screen has a current retail price of ~£550 GBP, but no official word on release date yet.
