We mentioned this one before, it however now is available in stores. Philips added a new AH-IPS based WHQD 2560 x 1440 resolution 25" display to their product series, it is called 258B6QJEB. Wouldn't it be nice to see manufacturers use simple names for monitors ? 



It has an AH-IPS panel with a 5ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles and 16.7m colour depth. W-LED backlight based it offer a standard sRGB gamut, as tftcentral reports:

DisplayPort, HDMI, DL-DVI and VGA connections are provided. Moreover, the monitor has built-in stereo speakers for multimedia and 2x USB 3.0 / 2x USB 2.0 ports for fast data transfers and smart phone charging. The screen is also advertised as flicker free which is positive news. A full range of ergonomic adjustments are offered from the stand with tilt, height, swivel and rotate all accounted for. The new Philips display should be available now at a price of £ 289 GBP.

The screen is based on W-LED (WLED just means a white LED. It's the standard LED in LED-backed displays). illuminated AH-IPS screen has a 5ms resonse time and 350 cd/m² maximum brightness. It has a 4-port USB hub (two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports). Sales price should hover in the sub 399 euro range.
