Patriot Released a new line of SSDs, and it's a BLAST. Coming in four different storage capacities: 120GB, 240GB, 480GB and 960GB, these slim 2.5-inch SSDs (7mm thick) are equipped with TLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a quad-core, 8-channel Phison S10 controller, TRIM support, SMART support and built-in ECC function.

In terms of performance, the BLAST SSDs can deliver read/write speeds of up to 560/425 MB/s (120GB model), 560/530MB/s (240GB model) and 560/540 MB/s (480GB & 960GB models), respectively.

Backed by a 3-year warranty, the BLAST SSDs will be available from November 21st via Links International for around $40 (120GB model), $73 (240GB model), $144 (480GB model) and $266 (960GB model), respectively.
