Panasonic announced the business rugged notebook for busy mobile executives. The Panasonic Toughbook CF-LX3 is a large, 14" screen notebook with a 14 hour battery life, beautifully packaged in the world's lightest design (1.26kg) available on the market* and still maintains all Toughbook's renowned ruggedness.

With its top of the range usability, mobility and business rugged design, the Toughbook CF-LX3 is ideal for mobile executives that need the equivalent of desktop PC power whilst working away from the office, travelling and presenting to customers. The Windows 8.1 Pro Update 64 bit device is ideal for business executives, consultants, sales forces and those in the Media and Financial sectors, where visual and data applications are critical.

Unrivalled Usability

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-LX3 offers unrivalled usability in its class. The large 14" screen is beautifully designed into a compact unit more often seen in notebooks with 13" displays. So with a 10% bigger screen than a 13.3" notebook and approximately 10% more compact size than a traditional 14" notebook, the device is perfect for working and presenting on the move.

The Toughbook CF-LX3's 19mm pitch keyboard has also been designed for ultimate ease of use with leaf designed keys to minimise mistyping and key visibility font markings for quick identification.

For executives moving from one location to another, the versatility to connect to any office peripheral is an important consideration. Despite its size, the Toughbook CF-LX3 comes with the complete range of interfaces for office needs, including a standard LAN connection, VGA and HDMI for data projecters, printers and displays, USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports and a SD card slot. Wireless LAN a/b/g/n (up to 300 Mbit) and Bluetooth v4.0 are included for fast data transfer.

And being away from the office doesn't mean being away from business-critical data and applications as the device is equipped with Windows 8.1 Pro Update 64 bit (Windows 7 Professional (available through downgrade rights from Windows 8.1 Pro), a powerful Intel Core i5-4310U vPro Processor (3 MB cache, 2.0 GHz up to 3.0 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology) and Intel HD 4400 graphics with DirectX 11 support capable of running the most demanding office applications when on the move. The device has 4 GB RAM (8 GB option) and 128 GB SSD storage.

Mobility to match your work style
The Toughbook CF-LX3 offers an oustanding 14 hour battery life to ensure the device can meet the needs of a busy day and with a fast 3 hour recharge time it needs less sleep than the busiest executive. For those needing devices to be running 24 hours a day for multiple shifts, the battery can be easily swapped by the user and a fresh battery inserted in moments.

Keeping in touch with customers or the office while on the move is easy with the Full HD web camera (max. 1920X1080 pixel) with two built-in microphones arrays designed for noise filtering and high quality communications.

Rugged yet lightweight
The Toughbook CF-LX3 draws on Panasonic's rugged engineering pedigree and ergonomic design capabilities to offer a business rugged, yet lightweight device. The Toughbook CF-LX3 uses a specially designed alloy magnesium wave ribbed design and is built to withstand drops from a desk (76cm).

The Toughbook CF-LX3 is supported by an ecosystem of accessories which can in one click turn the notebook into a full desktop PC for use in the office. The USB 3.0 Dual Video Docking Station provides a universal expansion solution for Windows-based laptops through its single USB connection. Monitors, printers, network, keyboard and mouse are all instantly accessible through the Plug and Play capabilities of the universal docking station. An "Always On" USB port continuously provides power to any device attached even when the laptop isn't powered on enabling charging of devices such as smartphones or tablets.
