There is more candy shown at the OCZ suite, in a press release they already announced the new upcoming JetExpress  controller, they had a M.2. JetExpress SSD on display as well as the upcoming Vector 180.

Below first have a peek at the M.2. based JetExpress SSD on display, JetExpress supports the PCI Express interface with the nonvolatile memory express (NVMe) protocol and the SATA interface with the advanced host controller interface (AHCI) protocol.:

So this is the JetExpress supports M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 (M.2 is typically PCIe 2.0), and natively supports both SATA and PCIe / NVMe connectivity. The M.2 SSD that OCZ shows is 110 mm long, as opposed to the typical client M.2 SSD that is 60 or 80 mm in length. This is done to meet customers requirements in terms of big volume sizes SSDs.

The new JetExpress controller actually has 10 channels (SSDs typically have 8 channels) and can be paired with DDR3 DRAM caches of 1 and 2 GB.

The controller supports a PCI-Express 3.0 x4 host interface meaning it can deliver 4 GB/s of bandwidth per direction, 8 GB/s in total. OCZ will make both PC enthusiast and enterprise products using this new controller.

Up and coming soon will be the Vector 180 SSD, this is a performance oriented SSD with pricing in mind. Key feature will be endurance, as this SSD will allow for 50GB/day host writes guaranteed for 5 years, which is a lot.

The product will be paired with Toshiba A19 MLC NAND flash memory. The 180 will become available in capacities of 240 GB, 480 GB, and 960 GB. on a SATA 3 interface you will spot the regular performance levels, up to 550 MB/s reads, with up to 530 MB/s writes; and up to 100,000 IOPS 4K random reads and with up to 95,000 IOPS 4K random writes.

A new feature is incorporation Power Failure Management Plus (PFM+) meaning if the power drops, you will not corrupt or loose data as there is a capacitor delivering power for a little while so that the SSD can finish up it's activity.

OCZ will grant a 5-year ShieldPlus warranty on the Vector 180.
